2.1

Physical Movement Unlocks Mental & Emotional Integraton.

+ Mental health isn’t just mental—it’s physical.  Trauma and other challenges can cause real, measurable physiological damage.  It’s not “all in your head.”  Recovery demands we treat the body, too.

It's Not How You Look. It's How You Feel.

+ Utilize unilateral movements—promoting balance, stability, & integration
+ Emphasize coordination

+ Train the posterior/anterior oblique subsystems to function synergistically.

+ Improve neuromuscular activation & reaction timing—utilizing tools such as light-based reflex training systems

+ Encourage cross-hemispheric communication in the brain.

+ Focus on slow & intentional movement that allows a person to acknowledge how their body feels under various types of stressors

+ An active meditation—noticing which muscles contract & what emotional sensations arise

     + Incorporate isometric holds.

+ Seek manipulation of the lymphatic & endocrine systems

+ Utilize saunas, cold plunges, cold showers, hot yoga, etc.

     + Strategically practice intermittent fasting.

     + Take advantage of ASMR.

+ Introduce change in the routine at regular intervals.

+ Integrate breathing techniques

     + Regulate nervous system.

+ Improve focus & emotional control.

     + Enhance recovery.

Exercise is treatment.

Just like physical therapy rehabs the body, personal training should be a standard modality for mental health care.

Bridge the gap.

Healthcare and fitness industries must collaborate to support integrated healing.

Make referrals seamless.

Therapists and doctors should be able to refer patients directly to certified trainers.

Make it part of the plan.

Insurance should recognize personal training as a reimbursable treatment—not just a wellness perk.
